Emagine Solutions, Withings Unite to Improve Blood Pressure Management During Pregnancy

Maternal healthcare tech innovator Emagine Solutions Technology is partnering with Withings Health Solutions, a division of Withings, to help improve maternal mortality.

The alliance gives pregnant users of Emagine’s The Journey Pregnancy App access to premium blood pressure monitoring tools. The pairing reflects Emagine’s efforts to highlight the importance of blood pressure management during pregnancy, especially in Black communities where studies show increased rates of high blood pressure and implicit bias in maternal health treatment. Providing users of The Journey Pregnancy app with Withings devices strengthens the impact of the app and gives users the ability to have a data-driven pregnancy at a time when patients often have little visibility into their health trends between doctors’ appointments.

To gain access to Withings devices, users of The Journey Pregnancy App simply sign up for the recently launched premium wellness coaching subscription. Included as a part of their package, they will receive:

• A Withings Body Smart scale, allowing precise weight tracking and advanced body metrics, including heart rate insights.
• A Withings BPM Connect blood pressure monitor designed with the most innovative sensors to provide medically accurate blood pressure and heart rate measurements with immediate feedback.
• Regular meetings with an expert wellness coach that is certified in perinatal mental health or similar, and is a medical assistant or nurse practitioner with more than five years of experience in maternal health

Customers can use their HSA or FSA to pay for subscriptions and Emagine plans to offer periodic discounts and promotions to mitigate costs to the users.
